THE STORY OF A CITY –

ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND EDITION

ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP. MAY 6 – 10, 2019

Travel is a wonderful thing. It allows us to discover new places, to meet new people, to experience new customs and, of course, to make new memories. As photographers we are exposed to so many opportunities to create art while traveling that it can often be overwhelming: What gear should I bring? How do I plan my shots? What time should I be on location? How do I tell the story of this amazing place I am visiting? These questions, and many others, will be answered in “The Story of a City – A Travel Photography Workshop” which will be held in St. John’s, Newfoundland from May 6th – 10th, 2019.

The St. John’s, Story Of A City workshop is unique because we have timed it to coincide with Newfoundland’s Iceberg Season! One day during the St. John’s workshop will be a day where we will have a 2 1/2 hour private, exclusive and up-close trip out to this year’s icebergs that will be moving south from their Greenland icecap.

We will split the group in half in order to make two trips out to the ‘bergs in a large Hurricane Zodiac rather that a larger vessel. This means we can move in, right up to the ‘bergs and yes, you can scoop out ancient ice for drinks later that night! If you have never seen icebergs in person, this will be an experience like no other.

As photographers, this will offer you a chance to capture the drama, size and colours of one of the world’s most incredible natural wonders. Closer to departure day, we will offer a live group chat online and discuss the icebergs and how to prepare yourselves for this particular shooting session of the workshop.
